Since 2003, when Yoko Kasai entered the real estate industry, she has shared her expertise in the area with clients, helping them navigate the dynamic Bay Area market. In that time, she has made her mark on the industry, having sat as President of the Marin Chapter of the Women’s Council of REALTORS® and the Marin Association of REALTORS® (MAR®), Director of the California Association of REALTORS®, and Class A Director and Chair for Bareis MLS. Holding these positions has kept Yoko at the forefront of the industry and developed networks across the state that she leverages to benefit her clients. For her tireless efforts, Yoko was named the MAR® 2020 REALTOR® of the Year.

Yoko loves the challenges that come with helping clients buy and sell homes, and supporting people through that important financial decision is one of the most rewarding aspects of her career. A large part of that responsibility is taking the stress out of a real estate transaction by providing clients with up-to-date, relevant information based on their needs and collaborating with them loyally and honestly. Leading with kindness and compassion, Yoko embraces change while remaining centered; but because her clients always come first, she remains flexible in her approach. “It all works beautifully when everyone involved is in alignment and committed to the process,” she says.

Yoko was born in Japan but has called the Bay Area home long enough to understand all its nuances, including what makes each county unique. After graduating from Saint Mary’s College of California, Yoko started her career in the hospitality industry, developing her client services and operations skills. This was the perfect foundation for a real estate career, as it involved being accessible, communicating with diverse personalities, and managing many details to achieve a goal.

While raising her young son and juggling a new career, Yoko learned how to be efficient. Her determination and love of a challenge are reflected in many other areas of her life, such as when she competes in triathlons and ultramarathons. She also meditates regularly, which keeps her grounded; her clients often remark on how calm she is. Staying true to herself and her values has continually helped her and her clients find success.

When she’s not working, Yoko continues to support the people around her. She’s a co-owner of a women’s mastermind group, Symmetry7, and co-founder of AYYA, which brings people and the community together through fun dinner parties. Yoko is always looking toward personal growth and can often be found trail running, reading, or cooking. She lives in San Rafael with her husband and their senior German shorthaired pointer.
