Janelle Fazackerley

As a partner in Front Porch Realty Group, Janelle has found a powerful match between her passion for homes and her joy in providing service for the needs of first time, move-up, country property , and investment buyers.  Sellers and buyers from a wide variety of backgrounds and situations find in Janelle a knowledgeable, trustworthy, and compassionate partner for their transactions.  Her specialized training as a SRES realtor allows Janelle to thoroughly address the needs of her senior citizen clients.

Being a third generation Marin county native, Janelle appreciates the natural, historical, and cultural features that draw so many families to live in its towns and cities. Janelle and her husband Jim live in Lagunitas.  Their two children have grown up in the nurturing environment of the San Geronimo Valley and have enjoyed all the resources there, especially the great public school and outdoor recreation.  Janelle served for many years as board president of the fundraising foundation for the Lagunitas School District and more recently on the San Geronimo Community Center Board. She feels that the opportunity to live in the Bay Area is perhaps the greatest gift that we all share.  Whether it is hiking the west Marin ridges, riding horses through the redwood groves, or walking the miles of spectacular beaches with her standard poodle Leo, she is thankful everyday that this is her home.

Karen Robertson Strain,

Partner, Broker Associate

Karen is a native San Franciscan and her two daughters have the distinction of being 4th generation San Franciscans.  She and her husband Jim made the move to Marin when their children were young because they wanted their daughters to attend the much admired Marin public school system.  Her family acclimated to the beauty and culture of Marin very quickly.  It was one of the best decisions they have ever made.  Both of her daughters are grown and on their own now so she has plenty of time to spend with her adored standard poodle Henri.

Karen enjoys helping people find their homes - especially first time buyers. When it comes to selling or buying your home, she works diligently to make sure that it is a smooth transaction for all parties involved. Communication is her number #1 priority. She believes personal and ongoing contact is very important to building the relationship with clients and ultimately leads to the success of the transaction.

Karen currently serves on the board for the Novato Youth Center. In her spare time she enjoys long distance walking, reading a great book, and is an enthusiastic knitter. What brings balance and fun into her life is singing with The Hubs of Marin - a 60's 70's rockin roll group band that all live locally in Marin.  Karen also continues to teach CPR and First Aid in the Bay Area - which has allowed her to meet many wonderful people.
